Watermarble Nails

I have always been scared of watermarbling. I have tried it a few times and always had such crappy results. Today was the day that all changed. After a few trials I came to realize that China Glaze doesn't spread worth a darn, Opi and Color Club work great, and contrary to what I have heard you can use water right out of the tap.

I did two coats of Color Club(Cc) Blue-Ming on my pointer, ring, and pinkie finger. I painted two coats of Cc Wicker Park on my thumb and middle finger. I definitely like how brighter it looks over top of Wicker Park. After marbling I used Seche Vite as my top coat. I used liquid latex around my cuticles to help with clean up and I have to say that I feel like it made the whole process harder. When I was trying to clean the surface up the polish kept clinging to the latex. I would have to be a bit forceful to detach it, which made me nervous about hitting the design.

Disney Tangled Nails

Hello all...I am starting a new series for myself. Over the next couple weeks I will be doing Disney princess themed nails. I have mentally mapped out what I am planning to do for upcoming princesses and you will notice some similarities to other people's nails. I will try to give credit to those that I know of. Unfortunately there is only so many designs you can do for some of the themes.
First up I did Rapunzel. Tangled is one of my favorite Disney movies. I am all about some singing and I love the frying pans. This was my first time doing a fishtail braid so please be kind. I do wish I had picked a different gold as the one I used just wasn't as opaque as I would have liked.
On my pointer and pinkie I did a gradient using China Glaze(Cg) Sweet Hook, Color Club(Cc) Wicker Park, and Cc Pucci-licious. I wanted the gradient to represent the colors of her dress. I stamped the Sun with plate BM618 and Essie Good as Gold. The fishtail braid was made using Sweet Hook, Pucci-licious, and Opi Goldeneye. My middle finger I painted to represent when they braid her hair and add flowers. I used all the purple colors along with Cg Starboard over top of Cc Macaroon Swoon. Seche Vite is still my top coat of choice.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Floral Stamping with Born Pretty Plate 54

I recently ordered some plates from Born Pretty store including BP 54. In the center is this gorgeous floral pattern that reminded me of Winstonia's plate that is always sold out. Theirs is also a bit big. I have a feeling it wouldn't fit on my nail so once I saw the same image but smaller I knew I had to snatch it up. The etching of this plate was deep and produced crisp images. The bald spot on my pointer finger was from my application not the plate. You can purchase this plate here. Enter code RA4X31 at checkout and get 10% off your order.

Base color is China Glaze(CG) Spring in my Step stamped with Color Club(CC) Twiggie with Mo-You London plate Tropical 12 (which unfortunately you can barely see the leaves). I stamped the floral image with KleanColor black and filled in the design with Color Club Wicker Park and CG Givers Theme. I rotated the flower with each finger. Seche Vite as top coat as usual.

Love Birds

For my last Valentine's Day nails I decided to stamp these cute love birds. I didn't quite getting the stamping on my middle finger centered but that's ok. I am loving this black. I normally hate painting my nails black because if you ever get it on your cuticles it is a nightmare to clean up.
On my pointer and pinky I applied two coats of Klean Color Black. My thumb and middle finger have two coats of Color Club Blue Ming stamped with Konad black from plate BM-H22. My ring finger has two coats of Color Club Harp On It and two coats of Opi In True Stefani Fashion. All nails have a layer of Seche Vite for top coat.

Negative Space Hearts

You can never have too many Valentine's Day nails right? There is a simplicity to these but I feel like they still look delicate and girly. Normally I have no free edge so I am proud to show off my nail length.
I started off by stamping plate BM 317 with Klean Color Black. To save time I stamped with 5 stampers at once. I filled in random hearts with China Glaze Sweet Hook and Essie Plumberry. I applied a base coat of CND Sticky base to help the decal stick. Once the black was dry I applied Seche Vite as my top coat.

Sky Gradient with Birds

This by far is one of my favorite looks. I have been practicing my gradients and I am so proud of this one. Such a subtle blend from the blue to the white.
I am trying out liquid latex around my cuticles for easier cleanup. I bought it for $10 on amazon after seeing several videos of it on YouTube. I have to say I have a love hate relationship with it. It does help keep polish from getting on your skin but when I pull it off the polish flakes. I will still have to go back in with tweezers to remove the flakes. I am thinking of posting a video just on the latex clean up.
I painted two coats of Opi's Put a Coat On and while it was drying I applied the liquid latex. Once it was dry I used a damn makeup sponge with Color Club's Take Me To Your Chateau and that same Opi white. I sponged on the polishes five times. I immediately went in with Glisten & Glow Hk Girl top coat to help blend the colors together.
Once it was dry I went in plate BM 508 and KleanColor Black for stamping. I applied Seche Vite once the black was dry to seal everything in.
