Valentine’s Cupcakes

I’m still a bit rusty and working on getting back into stamping. I’m going for more simple then elaborate looks but these cupcakes are still cute as can be. I may have to make some real life ones for Friday.

Painted Polish’s Red As Cherry Pie is the perfect base with its shiny red glitter.

The cupcakes are stamped with Painted Polish’s Stamped in Pink with the UberChic Love and Marriage 02 plate.

The candied heart is filled in with KB Shimmer’s Eye White Open, the icing is KB Shimmer’s Grin and Gerbera It, and the base is Color Club’s Feathered Hair Out To There.

As always I finished it off with Glisten & Glow top coat. I did use two coats because the cupcakes were a little thicker from filling them in and I wanted a smooth finish.

Hedgehog Love

Well, it’s been a very long time. I am trying to get back into my love of all things nail art. I figured what better way then to start with cute Valentine’s Day nails.

I’m a bit rusty so my stamping isn’t as good as it used to be and I need a new white stamping polish but overall I think these are adorable.

I started with two layers of Color Club’s Je Taime before going in with UberChic plate 6-02 for the the swirls.

The cute hedgehog is from UberChic love and marriage 02. I stamped with black and filled in using Opi Samoan Sand for his stomach, Orly Prince Charming for his spikes, and Opi Quarter of a Cent-Cherry for the heart.

Of coarse I am still using my beloved Glisten and Glow top coat.

Dry Brush Roses for Valentine's

Two coats of Color Club's Feathered Hair Out To There as my base color,
I used the dry brush method with Morgan Taylor's Po-Riwinkle, Kung Fu-Chisa, and Warriors Don't Wine from their new Kung Fu Panda 3 collection,
once dry I used plate BM-H16 with Mundo de Unas black to stamp on the roses,
Glisten and Glow's Hk Girl topcoat sealed it in and gave it a glossy finish.

Rose Gold Hearts Stamping

I have to say that out of all my nail looks this one isn't my favorite. I wish I had used a darker polish for the hearts but I still wanted to post these.

My base color is Opi Canary ate my Berries. I used the baggy method by using cut up pieces of a Walmart bag to apply Milani Bombshell, China Glaze Spring in my Step, and my original color. After I got the opacity I wanted I used Seche Vite to help blend the colors and speed up drying time.

Once dry I used Essie Penny Talk with Mo-You London plate 10 from the Princess collection and stamped on the hearts. I used a different stamper this time and so far I am very happy with it. I am planning to do a more in depth blog post about it very soon so be on the look out for it.

A final top coat of Seche Vite really makes the metallic color pop. I think because it is so reflective and bright that that is why I am not in love with this look. I plan to try something similar with a darker stamping color.

Macro of thumb

I managed to get a video recorded for these nails. I am still working on learning the best way to edit so please forgive the choppiness of the video.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Valentine's Day Tulips

For my first Valentine's Day mani of the year I wanted to do something that could also be just a pretty look on it's own. My new Pueen Buffet Leisure plates came in so I wanted a chance to use them as well.
For my pointer and ring finger I put down two coats of Color Club Je T'aime. I added two coats of Finger Paints Santa's Lil Topper on my ring finger as well.
My thumb and middle finger have two coats of Orly's Powder Puff. I used the tulips from Pueen plate 97. I stamped with Mundo de Unas #39 for the leaves and #55 for the blooms. I went in and filled in with Color Club's Warhol.
My pinkie is China Glaze's The Grass is Lime Greener. I love the color of this year but the formula is horrible. Even after three coats it is still a bit patchy.

I used Glisten & Glow Hk Girl to make the decals. I finished everything off with Seche Vite.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!
