A TNPC Inspired Skittle

The wonderfully talented Kelli from The Nail Polish Challenge posted this amazing look in the past few days and I knew I just had to try it. I didn't want to copy her exactly so I changed it up to make it my own. Her look that I drew inspiration from is this chevron mani. I went with one glitter accent nail and two solid colored ones instead.
Sadly I am still learning to use the nail vinyls without flooding my cuticles. Somehow I am happier with how my right hand came out then my left. Go figure!
I feel like the chevrons are crisper on this hand. I am looking for a new tripod so taking good photos of my right hand are a bit tricky at the moment.
Closeup of the chevrons

Polishes used: Duri rejuvacote, Sally Hansen Insta-dri Presto Pink, Color Club Pucci-licious, and Orly Silver Pixel
Chevron Vinyls:Linda at Nail Vinyls
Top Coat: Inm Out the Door
Hope you are having a wonderful day

Glistening Lotus

Every so often I need to take a step back from all the nail art and just have a simple look. This is my palette cleanser you could say.
There is not a whole lot I can say about this look, but I can spam you with lots of pretty photos.
Polishes: Duri Rejuvacote as base, China Glaze Lotus Begin and Glistening Snow
Top Coat: Inm Out the Door
I am loving the trees in the background

Just look at that sparkle

Hope you all are having a great day

Galaxy Nails Mani Swap

The ever so lovely @mvargas_nails from Instagram and I decided to do a mani swap. I had been wanting to go a pastel galaxy look for a while so this was the perfect opportunity. She chose my purple floral design that you can see here.
I was fine right up until it came time to do the stars. Unfortunately my brush that I have been using is starting to fray so it is not as crisp as it used to be. I am looking into ordering a new one. I tore apart a latex free makeup sponge to be able to do the different colors. I usually cut them with I do gradients but tearing them seems to give better results for this look.
I painted the light purple as my base color before I went in with the different colors. I sponged on the blue first, then the pink, yellow, and finally I went back in with the purple to add a bit more dimension. I free handed the stars. Once it was somewhat dry I used Northern Lights to help blend the colors a bit more.
Polishes: Duri Rejuvacote and Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac as base
Sponged with: Opi Can't Find My Czechbook, Color Club Je T'aime and Macaroon Swoon
Stars: Look, Don't Tusk
Top Coats: Inm Northern Lights and Out the Door
You can see the original look here. Be sure to check out the rest of her photos, she has some wonderful designs.

Hope you all are having a wonderful day

Monarch Butterfly Nails

I by no means came up with this design. I have seen it done by a million different people. I did want to try my hand at it though. I think for my first attempt it came out pretty good. I am really ocd with my nails though and I wish my lines were all the same size but I did do these with a toddler running around.

I chose not to use black and white polish. I knew they I wanted something that I could take off without damaging the base color if I needed to. Acrylic paints can be wiped off with rubbing alcohol (a big thank you to Oh My Gosh Polish for that tip.)

I used my usual base coat and then this gorgeous orange holo polish as my base color. I freehanded the wing design with a art brush I got from Ac Moores. Once the black paint dried I went back in with a small dotting tool and the white paint for the dots. After everything dried I cleaned up and top coated.
Polishes: Duri Rejuvacote as base coat and Color Club Cosmic Fate
Black and white acrylic paint
Top Coat: IMN Out the Door
I love these! They are so sparkly and dainty.
Hope you all are having a great day
