Floral Chevrons

Another new Zoya Summer polish is Jessica. Its a bluish medium purple. It was a little patchy on the first coat but second gave it full opacity and smoothed out the ridges.

The chevrons are from UberChic's Got Chevrons plate and stamped with MoYou Londons Periwinkle.

The flowers are from Maniology M019 and done with MoYou White Knight.

Glisten and Glow top coat for the super shiny finish.

Simple Baby Shower Nails

Yesterday one of my best friends for forever had her baby shower. I can not wait for her little girl to make her grand appearance, but until then I'll just have to paint my nails for her. I wanted something simple to wear instead of my usual bright in your face nails. I  love this color from Orly, it is quite possibly one of my favorites from them. It goes on smooth and only takes two coats. I also broke out my tried and true glistening snow for my accent nail. I had forgotten how sparkly and twinkly it is.

Two coats of Orly lollipop
Three coats of China Glaze glistening snow
Plate BM-H21 with Mundo de unas black
Sally Hansen 3D gel top coat
Seche vite top coat

Glistening Lotus

Every so often I need to take a step back from all the nail art and just have a simple look. This is my palette cleanser you could say.
There is not a whole lot I can say about this look, but I can spam you with lots of pretty photos.
Polishes: Duri Rejuvacote as base, China Glaze Lotus Begin and Glistening Snow
Top Coat: Inm Out the Door
I am loving the trees in the background

Just look at that sparkle

Hope you all are having a great day

Galaxy Nails Mani Swap

The ever so lovely @mvargas_nails from Instagram and I decided to do a mani swap. I had been wanting to go a pastel galaxy look for a while so this was the perfect opportunity. She chose my purple floral design that you can see here.
I was fine right up until it came time to do the stars. Unfortunately my brush that I have been using is starting to fray so it is not as crisp as it used to be. I am looking into ordering a new one. I tore apart a latex free makeup sponge to be able to do the different colors. I usually cut them with I do gradients but tearing them seems to give better results for this look.
I painted the light purple as my base color before I went in with the different colors. I sponged on the blue first, then the pink, yellow, and finally I went back in with the purple to add a bit more dimension. I free handed the stars. Once it was somewhat dry I used Northern Lights to help blend the colors a bit more.
Polishes: Duri Rejuvacote and Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac as base
Sponged with: Opi Can't Find My Czechbook, Color Club Je T'aime and Macaroon Swoon
Stars: Look, Don't Tusk
Top Coats: Inm Northern Lights and Out the Door
You can see the original look here. Be sure to check out the rest of her photos, she has some wonderful designs.

Hope you all are having a wonderful day

Black Eternal

I had the hardest time with this design. I had this grand idea in my head to stamp using holographic polish. The first plate I used the stamp wouldn't even pick up. I had to use my Mo-You London plates to get a design. If you look close you can still see that it wasn't 100% crisp.
I won't say much about this because I am just not really happy with it. My camera did not want to pick it up. I had to have taken at least 30 photos and feel like maybe got 5 good ones.
Polishes: Duri Rejuvacote and Wet n Wild Black Creme as base color
Stamping plate: Mo-You London Princess #10 stamped with Color Club Eternal Beauty
Top Coat: Glisten & Glow Hk Girl Topcoat

Sponging and Stamping

I have been looking at my Winstonia plate #W111 and trying to decide how I wanted to paint the background for it. I finally decided to do a pastel type watercolor mani. I didn't feel like breaking out the plastic wrap so I just used cut up sponges to layer the colors. I put down a base color of Opi's Alpine snow because I really wanted the colors to pop. I used all China Glaze polishes. They are Lotus begin, What a pansy, At vase value, and Bahamian escape. I just would sponge on one color at a time and then at the end I went back in with the base color of Bahamian escape to even it out. I stamped with Konad's white special polish. As per usual I used my favorite Glisten and Glow HK Girl topcoat.
